2017 in Review

The Thrive Arts Academy has seen tremendous growth this year. Because of this, we've been able to add new teachers, programs, and positions to our team. But the most important thing we've seen this year is God's hand at work in the lives of our families, students, and community.

55 Brand New Families

Because of our Dance and Theater program, we've been able to add 55 Brand New Families to our Roster. With this new growth and our current active Music Families, this puts our total enrollment at 132 Thrive Arts Academy Families.

17 Students Involved in Jam Band

This year saw the beginning of our newest program, Jam Band. This allows for students who are interested in being involved with our Worship & Production team to come and learn what it means to serve with us. Jam Band exists to teach students both practical and spiritual tools of what it means to be a worship leader.

15 Students Involved with Worship & Production

In 2016, our Worship & Production Team had 5 Arts Academy students involved in ministry. After the launch of Jam Band this year, 10 brand new students were added to our Worship Arts & Production Team!

The Brown family came to Thrive Arts Academy after their home dance studio closed down. They were looking for a place with good training, but also wanted to find a place that placed a strong emphasis on character building. They have four daughters, Gracelyn, Madelyn, Marcelyn, and Lauren, and because of their love of dance each one is taking multiple classes with us. Their favorite classes are the Christian Dance Classes where they learn what it means to worship through dance and choreography. Carol Ann Brown, their mother, has personally told us that her girls feel at home at Thrive Arts Academy, in a way they haven't felt before. She is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure our staff is encouraged and supported because of how special her girls feel in our classrooms.

6,864 Lessons Taught in 2017

With the addition of our Dance and Theater Program, we have taught 6, 864 lessons this year.

3 Visits in Our New Outreach Program

This past year we also launched our new Outreach Program! Our students visit care homes in the  surrounding area and play and sing for the residents. At the Thrive Arts Academy, we believe in pouring back into our community! Our students have had an amazing time getting to meet and perform for seniors in Roseville.

175 Attendees at Our Christmas Showcase

For the first time in the history of our program, we combined with our Dance & Theater program to offer a showcase full of the celebration of the Christmas Season. Because of this, we had our largest attendance at our Christmas Showcase this year! We opened our Showcase to the public as well and had many families who had never heard of the Thrive Arts Academy attend.

Josiah Collins was one of the first students of the Thrive Arts Academy when we first launched. He joined our program having never played drums but through the mentorship of his drum teachers, Mark Tuzman and Seth Kaminsky,  Josiah is now serving with the Worship Arts Team. Josiah is not only a talented drummer, he also has an amazing heart. Through our Jam Band program he has begun to take on a mentorship role with some of our newer drummers. On any given weekend, you can find Josiah behind the drum kit, serving as a back stage manager, or worshipping with his fellow High Schoolers. We are so proud to have Josiah as a student of the Thrive Arts Academy.
